Christmas just seems so different this year. Last year it seemed like I could really relate to Mary...well not really b/c I was not being accused of adultery and never rode on a donkey before I gave birth! But You know...we were both pregnant...that makes us alike, right? Well anyway, this year, Mary seems even more amazing to me.
I barely let IV touch anything that might be germy and yet Mary put Jesus down in a manger full of hay surrounded by farm animals and strangers! I bet the Wise Men didn't have hand sanitizer! Mary just seemed to be so...what's the word....Trusting. The angel came to her, tells he she is going to be prego by the Holy Spirit and her reaction is "I am a Servant; May it be as you have said"! Seriously? This could not have been on her Wedding Planning To Do List! She just Trusted.
So this Christmas, I want to not worry so much about my To Do list but more have an attitude of "I am your Servant; May it be as you say." More Trusting of Him who lay in a manger and was born to a woman to trusted...may I be that for IV!

These were taken on Nov30th...so he is 5 months old :) He is such a smiler! When you smile at him 90% of the time he smiles back at you! It is just so fun! Some one at church told us a couple of weeks ago, 'Yeah we were just talking about how happy that Dove baby is' Such a cutie....now we just hope he smiles for the professional pictures we are having taken on sat :)

Our Little Swimmer

We went to Emler Swim School on Wed for our 1st 'swim' class. They just started a class for 3-6mo old babies to teach us what we can do during bath time to get them ready for the WaterBabies class that will start at 6mos old.
As soon as we got him in his reusable swim diaper and swim suit, he decided to do #1 and #2!!! So, off the swim wear came and we had to wash it out and start over! Thankfully it happened before we got in the pool!!!
Our teacher, Ms Glenna, was VERY impressed with IV's temperament. He was so comfortable in the water and enjoyed 'floating' around! We looks forward to our class every week!

4 month well check

We had our 4 month well check today and that he is! The Dr said that he is the picture of health and there are no signs of H1N1 hanging around! He is developing accordingly, does all the things he is suppose to be doing and is a BIG boy! He weights 15lbs and 11 oz which is 50-75 percentile, he is 26 1/4in long which is 75-90 percentile (Jay's dreams of a UNC basketball player may come true!) and his head is 44.8cm around which is 95 percentile!!!!!!!!!! WOW!
