Happiest baby with Swine Flu Day 4

Happiest H1N1 baby I know!

He really has not been lethargic, but when he does fall asleep,
I did just let him lay down where ever he is :)

This is our set up...blow up mattress in IV's room and his mattress tilted so
he has an easier time breathing.

Sorry I did not update yesterday...I guess there is not much new to report. IV is still an excellent patient and we sure do have it easy if this is was 'sick' looks like! Today we got out for a walk so it was nice to get out of the house. This is one of those weekends where there are so many fun things going on...pumpkin patch, doggie parade, etc but we missed out on them. Hopefully next weekend we will get out and do something fun!

Our pediatric nurse called last night to check on him....which was so nice! She told me that he is the youngest h1n1 patient that they know of. WOW...IV, this is not a title we want you to have! She also told me that at 3 months, his immune system is just as mature as an adult's. If he would have gotten it at 2 months, it would have been a different story.

We have one more day of Tamaflu. He has not had a fever since Friday am. We are still needing to suction is nose out and do the saline nasal spray but he is still as happy as ever.

Happiest baby with Swine Flu Day 2

After sleeping for 12 hours last night, IV woke up happy as can be. He had a low grade fever most of the day and then no fever when I put him to bed.

I started feeling a little run down so I got tested for the H1N1 today...thankfully it was negative!

E came over to take a walk with us. After our walk she sat down and taught IV some
new songs and dances! HE LOVED IT!!!

IV's favorite college student came home from Chicago to visit!

The Happiest Baby on the Block...with Swine Flu

I don't think anyone told him that he was just diagnosed with the Swine Flu!

After he woke from his nap, his eyes looked a little 'feverish'

I was SHOCKED this morning when the test results came back as the H1N1 virus! He had no fever and was just congested. I thought I was being one of 'those' 1st time moms who bring their child into the dr over a sniffle. Thank goodness I did not waste any time!

IV and I stopped at People's Rx to get his Tamiflu and to pick up some Sambucus for III and I so we don't get the virus. IV slept from the dr to the Rx and then home..about 45 mins.

When we got home we was so happy and I was still (silently) questioning this diagnosis. He seemed fine. He continued to be so happy and chatty all day. He skipped his 1:00 nap so at 4:00 I decided to put him down and see if he would rest. He slept for about 45 min and woke up with a fever and VERY congested. Poor thing could not breath through his nose at all. He was grumpy for about 20 mins and then was happy the rest of the evening.

I am going to sleep on his floor tonight...SLUMBER PARTY IN IV's room! WHOOOHOOO! I pray that we get some sleep!

IV Found his voice in the car on the way home from a meeting at the church. By the time I got him I was able to capture this but is was nothing like the 1st paragraph he 'spoke'!

I thought I would highlight some talented people!

First, Ginger Hartman with Captured Moments does any kind of hand or foot print on any piece of pottery. She made this clock for IV and I just love it. We also have a Christmas ornament with his hand print on it. She does crosses, serving dishes, ornaments, clocks, etc. She does most of her work out of her house here in Cedar Park but she also does shows at Haute Baby in Austin. Next, we received this sweet picture to remember IV's dedication to the church. Paige Tolis Designs does custom work for any occasion.

Also, If I had a GIRL then I would definitely be ordering some BOWS from Jenn Jordan at Unbelievabow! Her stuff is so adorable and she will make custom bows for any outfit!

One last person, who we just adore. Amy with Twelve Stones Photography took some great pictures of IV and we just love her work. We look forward to our next visit with her.

Dedication

Sweet John Daniel sucked on his fist almost the entire time on stage.

John Daniel has been dedicated to the church now. The congregation at Hill Country Bible Church has committed to help us raise him in a Godly home! Pastor Tim Hawks asked us to commit our family to the Lord, to communicate the Gospel to John Daniel and to be the primary discipler for him.

John Daniel received a Certificate of Dedication from Pastor Tim. We also received a wonderful letter from him, a frame with our family verse in it and a letter to give to John Daniel on his 12th birthday.

He heard from Jenn that Adarryl's goal was to make us cry during his prayer....well he succeeded! He prayed for John Daniel's relationship with Christ and with us. He also prayed for his future mate....that is where I lost it!

While we were on stage, John Daniel sucked on his fist until we turned to pray. He started to get fussy at the end of Adarryl's prayer. I took him from Jay while Tim was praying because we started to get louder. All in all it was a great part of the service!!!

You can't be 3 monthes old already!

Amy with Twelve Stones Photography came and needless to say, we were NOT ready! I could not find IV's outfit anywhere! And IV was ready for a nap so he was not in the smiling mood. Thankfully I found the outfit 5 mins after Amy left and she was willing to come back. This time, IV just had a nap and eaten so he was much happier! The photos turned out GREAT!

Also, IV is 3 months old now! UNBELIEVABLE! He is changing everyday. He is blowing bubbles...which I hope does not mean he will be teething in the next few weeks! He is trying hard to roll over from his back to his tummy! He has been to the church nursery twice and the ladies all fought over him both times.

And then this weekend is Child Dedication at Church and Nana and Papa are coming in town. More on that later :)
